By-Laws are like the 'Constitution' for an organization.  By-laws create the general governing framework of the organization and are secondary only to the Articles of Incorporation.

Operating Codes
Operating Codes are rules of governance below the by-laws but above general policies, by-laws are passed to clarify basic operations where the by-laws are not detailed or allow for different options.




Federal Required Documents

IRS Tax Identification / Employer Identification Number
The TIN/EIN is a required step for a non-profit organization in order to do financial and accounting business in the name of the organization and not the principal individuals involved.

Tax-Exempt Status under 501c3
The Tax-Exempt filing is required to prevent the organization from paying federal and state income tax, sales tax in some states. The tax-exempt status also allows contributers to deduct their donations to our organization from their own income taxes as a charitable contribution.
