Venus Tavares

Venus is the proprietor of Tavares Housecleaning and mother of five children. Venus served three years as Parish Administrator of Church of the Ascension in Cranston. Venus has served on athletic boards including the Riverside Raiders (now Junior Townies).


Michael Padula

Mike is a married  father of a middle school and a pre school child. He is  involved in the community as he is the parent coach on the multi award winning Riverside Middle School robotic team, Dumbledore's Army, and the parent coach on there Sea Perch underwater robot team. Mike is also an ordained minister and regularly performs marriage ceremonies.

Kevin Hall

Kevin may be a fairly new Townie, but he's jumped right in with both feet! Kevin is new to non-profit work but excited to be a part of this cause and get involved in the East Providence community. Kevin is not, however, a stranger to leadership, having served in leadership and team building roles in his professional career.






















Jason Desrosiers

Committees: None
Jason is a graduate of East Providence High School ('02') and a recipient of both the Rhode Island Secretary of State's Leadership Award and the Rhode Island General Treasurer's Business Award. Jason's parliamentary training includes participation and training with the National Forensic League and National Catholic Forensic League, he holds a 'Degree of Distinction' from the former. Jason was also recognized for his skills as presiding officer at a mock congress hosted by Brown University, and participated in the National Catholic Forensic League national championship student congress in 2002. Jason was a competitive debater and participated in student government at East Providence High School including serving as Student-Liaison to the East Providence School Committee. Jason also served as a Trustee of the East Providence Public Library. Jason is a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians.
